Competition to select two trainers in the field of combating youth misinformation

Development Training Institute “MilleniuM” launches a contest for the selection of two trainers who will provide trainings dedicated to combating misinformation among young people. The activity is part of the project “Radarul Adevarului Adevărului: Laboratorul tinerilor pentru combaterea dezinformării”, funded by the European Union through the INSPIRĂ Moldova program.

The contest aims to identify experts with experience in media education, who will contribute to the development of critical thinking among young people and the formation of essential skills for analyzing and filtering information.

Selected trainers will be responsible for delivering:

• Three training sessions of two days each between March and May 2025:
  • March 22-23, 2025
  • April 12-13, 2025
  • May 17-18, 2025
• Online training sessions for the duration of the program (March – May 2025);
• Individualized mentoring for participants from May to June 2025, focused on applying knowledge in practice.

The trainings will cover topics essential for understanding and combating the phenomenon of disinformation:

• Identifying and combating disinformation;
• Media manipulation techniques;
• Using audiovisual equipment and software to create media content;
• Creating and distributing impactful digital content;
• Effective online communication strategies.

Those interested should fulfill the following conditions:

• Experience in delivering training and working with young people;
• Sound knowledge of misinformation and media literacy;
• Skills in the use of audiovisual equipment and in training young people in this area;
• Availability for the entire training and mentoring period (March – July 2025);
• Ability to tailor training to the specific needs of each group of participants.
