FREE IT course for young refugees and people from vulnerable communities (15-35 years old)!

The Municipal Center for Adult Learning and Education in collaboration with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) announces the enrollment in IT courses focused on the Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, Power Point to improve the required digital skills and access the desired job, studies or hobby development.
The opportunity is open to young refugees with legal residence status in Moldova and members of the vulnerable host community aged 15-53 years.
The course can be taken through the following modalities of attendance
- physical format at CMIEA or at Step IT Academy branch
- Hybrid
- Online
The course focuses on the acquisition of Microsoft Office components, lasts 7 weeks, starting in February 2025, and at the end, in addition to the graduation certificate, students can go through (at their choice) the Microsoft test and obtain a certificate that accredits the skills of using Microsoft Office tools, recognized anywhere in the world and which becomes a significant advantage on the CV.
The eligibility conditions for enlistment are as follows:
- Young people from Ukraine who arrived in Moldova after February 24, 2022 and hold a status of legal residence in Moldova
- Young people from local families facing financial difficulties or an income below the national average
- Single-parent families: households headed by single parents who have difficulty meeting the educational needs of their children
- Large families: families with several children who face challenges in meeting the educational needs of each child
- Victims of abuse or exploitation: young people who have suffered abuse, exploitation or neglect and need additional support for reintegration into the education system
- Members of ethnic minorities or marginalised groups
- Young people who take care of minor children or elderly people
Note: It is necessary to present the supporting documents attesting the inclusion in a vulnerable category at the time of signing the contract, in case of their absence or the impossibility of presenting any confirmatory document, a declaration on one’s own responsibility regarding its absence can be signed.
Among the documents proving the degree of vulnerability, the following are accepted:
- Unemployment certificate, issued by ANOFM
- Certificate about the value of the monthly income, issued by the employer
- Certificate of family composition, for large and single-parent families
- Decision or medical certificate for people with disabilities
- Affidavit if no document can be presented, but the person has a certain degree of vulnerability
