Young people from Chisinau are invited to an interactive session on human rights and non-formal education

The Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre organizes an interactive information session dedicated to young people interested in human rights, civic participation and alternative learning methods. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, starting at 16:00, at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center, located at 90 Mitropolit Varlaam Street.
Under the title “Human Rights through non-formal education”, the session aims to stimulate critical thinking and civic engagement of young people through participatory and experiential learning methods.
The activity will be facilitated by Gloria Cheptea, student at the Law Faculty of the State University of Moldova and active volunteer in the field of civic education. She will guide participants through an interactive program combining theoretical information with practical exercises and group discussions.
The proposed topics are:
- What are human rights and how do they apply in everyday life
- Ways in which young people can identify and defend these rights
- Examples of civic engagement and educational activities with impact in the community
The session aims to raise awareness about fundamental rights and the role of non-formal education in promoting democratic values. Participation is free of charge and is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 35.
The event provides a safe and friendly environment for learning, dialog and reflection, where each participant can express their opinions and ideas in a free and respectful way.
