Chisinau will host AI Media Hackathon 2025: Innovation and collaboration for a safer media space

In a world where fake news and propaganda continue to distort public perception, innovation is becoming an essential tool to combat misinformation. The AI Media Hackathon, an event dedicated to media professionals, journalists, AI/ML programmers, AI/ML programmers and all those interested in a safer and more transparent media space, will take place at MEDIACOR, Chisinau, from January 24 to 26, 2025.
The event aims to bring together interdisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions to challenges in public information. Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate: form joint teams to explore and develop solutions against misinformation.
- Create innovative projects: Develop platforms, algorithms, games or tools that promote media integrity.
- Educate the public: Identify fake news and propose creative solutions to current media problems.
In addition to free access to a collaborative and mentoring environment with industry experts, participants can win attractive prizes:
- 1st place: €1000
- 2nd place: €600
- 3rd place: €400
- Grand prize: up to GBP 5000 for the team with the most promising idea.
