The Chisinau Municipal Youth Center recently held a series of key consultations on the project “Chisinau – European Youth Capital 2027”. During the meeting, the latest adjustments and the final version of the project were presented, giving young people the opportunity to actively contribute to the planning of events that will make Chisinau a more attractive and dynamic city for young people.

Participants had the opportunity to express their ideas and suggestions, and their feedback added creativity and originality to the project. The initiatives proposed by young people were designed to make the activities included in the project more interesting and accessible, reflecting the needs and aspirations of their generation.

“The consultations were extremely productive. Young people came up with innovative ideas that helped us to refine the final version of the project. We are proud of their level of involvement and creativity,” said the organizers.

What does the European Youth Capital title mean? The “European Youth Capital” title is awarded to a European city for one year, giving it the opportunity to run youth programs and events. The winning city becomes a model of best practice in youth policies and initiatives, strengthening international collaboration and promoting young people as the main drivers of change.

Chisinau is in the running for this prestigious title for the year 2027, and if it wins, the capital of the Republic of Moldova will become a major European center of youth activities and initiatives.
