TheChisinau City Hall, through the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport, is launching the 2026 edition of the national EuroQuiz Moldova competition which brings young people closer to Europe.

Aim of the competition

The main objective of the competition is to bring young people closer to European values and strengthen their understanding of the European path of the Republic of Moldova. Young people benefit from valuable new skills in activities such as teamwork, critical thinking and essential knowledge about the importance of Moldova’s integration into the European Union.

What does EuroQuiz involve?

In the competition, participants will demonstrate their knowledge of the European Union, ranging from the continent’s history and geography to European institutions, art, culture, literature, gastronomy and Europe’s linguistic diversity. The competition involves cooperation, critical thinking and dialog on Moldova’s role in the European family.

EuroQuiz will take place in several stages:

  • April 6-10 – intra-school stage;
  • April 24 – district stage;
  • May 8 – EuroQuiz Moldova republican final.

Following the republican stage, the first-placed team will be awarded a study visit to Brussels, Belgium, where students will have the opportunity to investigate first-hand the European institutions and investigate the symbolic capital of the European Union.

Who can take part?

EuroQuiz 2026 is open to students:

  • from classes IX-XII;
  • who are passionate about European values and the future of Moldova in the European area;
  • interested in testing intellectual and critical thinking skills.

Young people can participate by forming teams of 4-6 members, coordinated by a teacher.

Interested teams can apply by consulting the competition rules and filling in the application form by April 2, 2026.

EuroQuiz is organized by the Office for European Integration, starting in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research and the Association of Intellectual Games of the Republic of Moldova.
