On January 23, at Mediacor, a new edition of Fix It in Post Experience took place, dedicated to 3D animation, film, gaming and technologies that transform real movement into digital characters. The event brought together young people passionate about creative industries, specialists in the field and representatives of companies already implementing these technologies in real projects in Moldova.

The main goal of the event was to give participants a behind-the-scenes look at the complete production process in 3D animation – from the idea and storyboard, to animation, sound and the use of modern generative tools.

From real motion to digital animation

One of the most eye-catching moments of the event was the demonstration of the technology that captures an actor’s real movements and transforms them into digital animation. Participants could see, step by step, how motion capture works and how it is used in movies, video games and commercial projects.

The speakers made it clear that these technologies, until recently considered inaccessible, are becoming more user-friendly and accessible, including for young people just starting out.

Real case studies from Moldova

An important element of the Fix It in Post Experience was the presentation of a real case study, developed by the Raketa Production team for Premier Energy Distribution, which helped participants understand how 3D animation technologies and generative tools can be applied in concrete, locally developed commercial projects.

Premier Energy Distribution representatives talked about:

  • Project specifics,
  • the motivation to use modern technologies,
  • the advantages of 3D animation in visual communication.

What the young participants learned

During the event young people learned:

  • what the complete production process in 3D animation looks like;
  • what role modern generative tools play in reducing production time and costs;
  • what skills are essential for a career in film, animation or gaming;
  • how to start a career in this field right from Moldova.

The talks were practice-oriented and the accessible language made the information easy to understand even for those just starting out.

Why such events are important

The organizers underlined that Fix It in Post Experience is not only an informative event, but also a platform for inspiration and career guidance for young people. In a context of rapidly growing creative industries, access to information, real examples and direct dialog with professionals becomes essential.

The event demonstrated that:

  • there are real opportunities in animation and post-production;
  • young people can build international careers from Moldova;
  • technology and creativity can go hand in hand.

Participants’ reactions

Many participants mentioned that the event gave them clarity on the steps they need to take and helped them better understand how the industry works from the inside. For some, the Fix It in Post Experience was their first direct contact with motion capture and 3D animation technologies.

A step into the future of the creative industries

The Fix It in Post Experience shows that the future of animation, film and gaming is not a distant concept, but a reality that is already being built. Through such initiatives, young people have the chance to discover new fields, develop their skills and shape a career path adapted to new technologies.
