On December 5, the 3rd edition of the Municipal Volunteers Festival took place in the Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel Chisinau, an event dedicated to the recognition of young people and organizations that actively contribute to the development of the community in Chisinau.

The aim of the project was to highlight the work of volunteers, to provide a space of celebration for those involved in civic projects and to bring to the forefront the real impact of volunteering in society.

The Festival was structured around four main award categories:
Volunteers of the Year, Volunteer Coordinators, Volunteer Projects and Active Organizations. For each category there were limited places and participants could apply through portfolios, presenting the activities carried out during the year. The atmosphere was full of excitement and gratitude: volunteers spoke about their experiences, coordinators talked about the challenges of teamwork, and representatives of organizations stressed the importance of civic involvement.

To reward the participants’ effort and dedication, financial prizes were awarded in each category:

1 1st place – 20,000 lei
2 Second place – 15.000 lei
3 Third place – 7.000 lei

A young volunteer mentioned:

“For me, volunteering means family and community. The fact that our work is appreciated at this level gives me even more motivation to continue.”

A volunteer coordinator added:

“The festival doesn’t just reward activities, it recognizes the heart put into them. It is an honor to work with young people who really want to make a difference.”

For the participants, the Municipal Volunteer Festival was a unique experience that gave them confidence, visibility and the feeling that their work really matters. The organizers confirmed that the project will continue next year, providing another opportunity for young active people to be appreciated and listened to.

Volunteering is a universal language of solidarity, through which young people express empathy, responsibility and the desire to contribute to a better future. Through such experiences, each participant has the opportunity to discover themselves and leave a positive mark on the community.
