If you are between the ages of 16 and 26 and are originally from one of the six Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova or Ukraine), the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can apply now to join the Young European Ambassadors initiative, until the deadline of 24 February 2025.

The new call was launched by the “EU NEIGHBOURS to the East” programme and is aimed at dynamic and enthusiastic young people interested in EU affairs and their country’s partnership with the EU. You will need a good level of English, you should be keen to contribute to the development and prosperity of your community and country, and be prepared to dedicate enough time to participate in civic engagement activities.

Successful candidates will participate in online and dialogue-based activities, and will represent young people from their countries both domestically and abroad. They will exchange experiences, discuss issues of direct concern to young people, share best practices and work together for a better future for their countries. Visit the special application page to learn more about the call and the YEAs initiative.

To apply for a Young European Ambassador position, candidates must complete the application form by 24 February 2025. Candidates are asked to submit a motivational video to support their candidacy.

After the end of the application period, selected candidates will first be invited for an interview. Those who successfully pass the interview will then be invited to special sessions and their profiles will be sent for further approval (to official stakeholders). The process, from the closing date of the call for applications to the presentation of the final results, takes about eight weeks.

The Young European Ambassadors Initiative (YEAs) is an apolitical, voluntary and vibrant communication network that connects and builds bridges of friendship between young people from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and the EU Member States and the United Kingdom. The aim of the network is to raise awareness of the EU’s cooperation with the Eastern partner countries, to present the concrete results of this cooperation, to contribute to political dialogue on various topics, to help increase civic activism and to work together for a better future.

The YEAs initiative was created by the European Union in 2016 and has so far involved more than 2,400 young people. Currently, there are more than 500 active YEAs, representing more than 30 different nationalities.
