The Chisinau Municipal Youth Center invites young theater enthusiasts to participate in the Municipal Youth Theater Festival “OSTENDE”, organized on the occasion of World Theater Day. The festival will take place between March 23 and 29, 2026.

📌 Who can participate

  • Theatre troupes from educational and cultural institutions in Chisinau
  • Young amateur or professional actors between the ages of 14 and 25 (register individually, and will form a troupe together) Conditions of participation
  • Bands of maximum 20 people
  • Duration of the play: 15 – 30 minutes
  • Performances in Romanian, Russian, English or French
  • Participants must provide the necessary décor and props

    • The registration period for the Festival is February 17-March 17, 2026, by accessing the link HERE.
    The registration form must be filled in and sent together with a 3-7 minute video with a sequence from the play at secretariat.centruchisinau@gmail.com
    The organizers reserve the right to make a pre-selection in case of a large number of applications

    Festival period:
    March 23 – Launch of the festival (viewing of a play)
    March 24 – 26, 2025 – thematic workshops with actors from the Republic of Moldova
    March 28 – 29, 2025 – performance of the troupes on the stage of the National Theater “Satiricus Ion Luca Caragiale” in Chisinau

    🏆 Prizes offered at OSTENDE:
    First place – 25 000 lei
    Second place – 20 000 lei
    Third place – 15 000 lei
    Mentions:
    Best Actor in a Female Role – 3 000 lei
    Best Actor in a Male Role – 3 000 lei
