Poetic Dialogues with Lena Chilari in Chisinau: two evenings dedicated to poetry and the art of writing

Lena Chilari returns to Chisinau for two evenings of poetic dialogues, organized by Cărturești Chisinau at the bookshop of the National Museum of History. The events will take place on February 21 and 22 and will feature discussions on poetry, the creative process and publishing, with some of the most acclaimed authors of the moment.
Two evenings of poetry and literary debates
The first evening on February 21, starting at 18:00, will feature writers Dumitru Crudu, Natalia Pîntea and Nadejda Ivanov. The discussions will explore not only the stylistic aspects and themes of poetry, but also the impact that literature has on its audience.
The second evening, on February 22, from 17:00, the poetic dialogue will continue with Maria Pilchin and Ivan Pilchin, addressing topics related to the stage, spoken word and contemporary literary influences. Both events will conclude with poetry readings by invited guests.
Literary scene’s leading guests
- Lena Chilari, poet, spoken word performer and organizer of literary events, is nominated for the title of “Young Poet of Romania 2024”. She debuted in 2020 with the volume a cup of noviciok in old age, and in 2024 she published Ludmila overturns the mountains with Max Blecher Publishing House.
- Dumitru Crudu, one of the founders of Fracturism, is a prominent name in Romanian literature, with numerous awards for prose and drama, including the Prize for Prose of the Writers’ Union of the Republic of Moldova for the volume Ora cinci și șapte minute.
- Natalia Pîntea, a poet and journalist, has published in prestigious magazines and was awarded the Prize of Excellence at the International Poetry Festival “Râmnicul este metaforă” in Romania.
- Nadejda Ivanov, researcher and editor-in-chief of the journal Language, Literature, Folklore, is the author of several monographs and critical studies, and has been awarded a prize by the Writers’ Union of Moldova.
- Maria Pilchin, literary critic, poet and essayist, has been awarded the Order of Cultural Merit in the rank of Knight of Romania and has won several important literary prizes in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
- Ivan Pilchin, poet, translator and vice-president of the Writers’ Union of Moldova, is the author of the books “The Aquarium Man” and “You, Iohanan“, and is also active in the field of literary translation.
The events are a unique opportunity for literature lovers to engage directly with writers and discover new trends in contemporary poetry.
