Mediacor invites you on October 28, at 18:00, to a Community Meetup dedicated to the art of storytelling – be it through film, animation, pitch or creative campaign. The event will take place at Mediacor, 60, A. Mateevici St., and is aimed at those who believe in the power of ideas and want to learn how to turn them into emotions.

Special guests from New York

The event brings to Chisinau two international professionals who know how to bring ideas to life:

  • John Rives – performance artist and storyteller, nicknamed “the first 2.0 poet”, known for how he blends words, technology and improvisation on the stages of TED, HBO and Bravo TV.
  • Lisa LaBracio – animator and filmmaker with over 40 projects for TED-Ed, the Met Museum and numerous international festivals, recognized for her hand-drawn animation and moving visual storytelling.

What you’ll learn

Lisa and Rives will talk about:

  • How to construct an engaging narrative;
  • Adapting stories for different formats and contexts;
  • How storytelling helps you communicate more authentically – in interviews, pitches or creative projects.

They will be in Chisinau from October 27-31, engaging with the educational process and curriculum of Future Professions students.
