In the context of accelerated digitization, the protection of cyberspace and data security have become fundamental priorities for the proper functioning of civil society. With this in mind, the DigitalSafeguard project launches an open invitation to organizations and activists from the Republic of Moldova to get involved in activities dedicated to digital security.

The deadline for registration is February 14.

Implementation of events and activities

The project is structured to provide concrete and applicable solutions in the daily work of non-governmental organizations. The events will take the form of training sessions and practical workshops, where participants will learn how to identify and manage online risks.

During these activities, the focus will be on developing technical skills. Participants will have the opportunity to explore practical tools to protect against digital threats such as phishing attacks, account compromise or mismanagement of personal data. The focus will not only be on theory, but on exercises that simulate real-life risk situations, providing a hands-on learning experience.

Atmosphere and working approach

The atmosphere in this project will be one of collaboration and mutual support. As digitization can present different challenges for each organization, the working environment is designed to be an inclusive one, where participants can feel comfortable to voice concerns and ask technical questions.

It aims to create a community of professionals and volunteers working together towards a common goal: a more secure digital future. Interactions will be direct and pragmatic, facilitating the sharing of experiences between organizations facing similar challenges. The approach is solution-oriented, providing a space where digital security is no longer seen as a technical barrier but as a tool for resilience.

Main objectives and target groups

The DigitalSafeguard project specifically aims to strengthen the digital resilience of civil society. A central focus of the initiative is to support vulnerable groups, which are often the main targets of cyber threats. By providing resources and training, the project contributes to protecting the integrity of information and ensuring the safe business continuity of these organizations.

Developing these skills is essential for maintaining freedom of expression and protecting civic space from external or internal digital interference.
