The National Youth Council of Moldova extends the deadline for the competition for the selection of expert teams for the training of youth and women associations

The National Youth Council of Moldova (CNTM), the associative structure that brings together 37 youth organizations, announces the extension of the deadline for submitting applications for the competition for the selection of teams of experts/experts who will deliver training sessions for youth and women associations. The deadline for submitting applications is now February 28, 2025.

About CNTM and the “Civic Involvement for Youth and Women’s Empowerment” project

Founded on February 18, 1999, CNTM promotes youth rights and represents the interests of youth organizations in the process of developing, implementing and evaluating youth policies in the Republic of Moldova. CNTM’s activity is based on principles such as solidarity, organizational and functional autonomy, transparency, freedom of opinion and expression, equal rights for its members, and professionalism.

The “Civic Involvement for Youth and Women Empowerment” project aims to advance gender equality and youth inclusion in Moldova by supporting civil society organizations in the development, implementation and monitoring of national and regional policies related to EU accession and the promotion of youth and women’s rights. This project is funded by the European Union and co-funded by Sweden and implemented in partnership with the East Europe Foundation, the National Youth Council of Moldova, the Partnership for Development Center and the NGO Regional Development Agency in Tiraspol.

The training and the targeted module

The project aims to train 50 youth and women’s organizations on “Analysis and planning of budgets from a youth perspective”. Within this programme, the selected experts will deliver two rounds of trainings, each targeting 25 participating organizations. The trainings will cover key topics such as planning a youth budget, using tools to promote social responsibility, activating and mobilizing in advocacy campaigns, etc.

Tasks and responsibilities of the experts

The experts will have the following responsibilities:

  • Development of the training curriculum and detailed agendas for each session, as well as support materials for participants (if applicable);
  • Delivery of the two rounds of training, each of which will include the three modules essential to the capacity of youth and women’s organizations to analyze and plan budgets;
  • Evaluation of participants’ progress and preparation of a post-activity report, which will include the skills acquired, participants’ feedback and recommendations for improving future trainings.

Requirements and skills needed for applicants

Experience working in the preparation and delivery of training programs is essential. Applicants must also meet the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of the legal framework in the field of youth, gender equality, inclusion, civic mobilization and social accountability;
  • Relevant experience in training organizations on the mentioned topics;
  • Good communication skills in Romanian and Russian are mandatory;
  • Ability to develop curricula and deliver interactive and effective training sessions.

Application procedure

Candidates must submit a complete application containing the following documents:

  1. Updated CV with information relevant to this competition;
  2. A draft training curriculum for the module(s) to which they are applying. Each module should be described separately, including training methods, topics covered and practical exercises;
  3. Financial offer per training day (in MDL, net).

The deadline for applications is February 28, 2025.

It is important that applications are complete as incomplete applications will not be considered.

Evaluation criteria

The selection of experts will be based on the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of the legal framework and the areas mentioned (20 points);
  • Experience in training organizations in the specific areas (30 points);
  • Experience in delivering capacity building and training programs (20 points);
  • Quality of the proposed training curriculum (30 points).

The maximum possible score is 100 points.
