Truth Radar: Program for young people in the fight against disinformation

Young people in the Republic of Moldova now have the opportunity to get actively involved in combating disinformation through the “Truth Radar: Youth Laboratory for Combating Disinformation” program. The initiative, financially supported by the European Union, aims to provide participants with essential skills in the field of media literacy, digital content production and civic activism.

Who can participate?

The program is aimed at young people aged 17 to 21 from all over Moldova, including from rural areas, who are interested in learning how to recognize and combat online disinformation, create relevant content, and develop their digital skills.

What does the program offer?

Participants will benefit from:

  • Specialized trainings in video production, editing and creation of captivating scenarios;
  • Developing digital skills and strategies for social media, useful in both personal and professional activity;
  • The opportunity to initiate their own information campaign, helping to combat disinformation in their community.

Structure of trainings

The program includes three modules carried out in a hybrid format, with offline sessions in Chisinau and practical activities in the community:

  • Module 1 (March 22-23, 2025) – Introduction to media manipulation techniques and critical analysis of information;
  • Module 2 (April 12-13, 2025) – Initiation in the use of technical equipment and software for creating media content;
  • Module 3 (17-18 May 2025) – Development and launch of information campaigns.
