Protecting the environment is no longer just a talking point, but a necessity that requires immediate action and the involvement of young people. In this context, the Erasmus+ project entitled “1 Planet, 1 Future” offers a unique opportunity for those who want to actively contribute to the fight against climate change.

The event will take place from March 09-17, 2026, in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.

Project objectives and themes

This exchange is designed to bring together participants from different European countries, facilitating an intercultural dialog on key topics. The project agenda focuses on the following main strands:

  • Climate change and sustainability: understanding the impact of human activities on the planet.
  • Environmental responsibility: Exploring how citizens can take action at both local and European level.
  • Skills development: Improving teamwork, communication and critical thinking.
  • Active citizenship: Encouraging young people to participate in environmental decision-making processes.

Event delivery and atmosphere

The project program excludes classical teaching methods such as long theoretical courses or monotonous lectures. Instead, the learning process is based on non-formal education. Participants will take part in hands-on workshops, group challenges and real debates, where everyone’s ideas are exploited.

The atmosphere will be dynamic, open and international. In addition to educational activities, the program includes moments dedicated to intercultural exchanges, allowing participants to make new friends and discover the traditions of other countries. This interactive approach aims to give young people not only the knowledge but also the confidence to become agents of change in their home communities.

Participant profile and application process

The organizers are looking for motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:

  1. Be youth workers or youth leaders over 18 years of age.
  2. Have good communication skills in English as the official working language of the project.
  3. Be willing to disseminate the experience and knowledge gained after the youth exchange.
