Youth Chess Championship at the Chișinău Municipal Youth Center: A Competition of Strategy and Perseverance

The Chișinău Municipal Youth Center hosted a remarkable event dedicated to young chess enthusiasts. The chess championship brought together talented youths eager to showcase their strategic skills in a competitive yet fair-play environment.

Regarded by many as a true art of thinking, chess provided young participants with an ideal opportunity to develop their concentration, patience, and competitive spirit. The competition was structured into two age categories: 14-17 years and 18-25 years, ensuring a fair environment where young people could face opponents of similar caliber.

After intense and suspenseful matches, participants’ efforts were rewarded with cash prizes. The winners in each age category were awarded as follows:

14-17 years category:

• 1st Place: 500 lei
• 2nd Place: 300 lei
• 3rd Place: 200 lei

18-25 years category:

• 1st Place: 500 lei
• 2nd Place: 300 lei
• 3rd Place: 200 lei
