The Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre marks five years of continuous and dedicated activity in support of young people in the capital. On this occasion, we organized an empowerment session for youth workers from Youth Centres in Chisinau municipality.

The central theme of the session was psychological support for young people, a crucial aspect in promoting their mental health and well-being.

The trainer of the session, Mrs. Olesea Frunze, led the participants through a series of interactive workshops and in-depth discussions, focusing on the following main topics:

  • Conflict Management: participants explored strategies and techniques to manage and resolve conflicts in a constructive and effective way, promoting understanding and reconciliation.
  • Effective Communication: Addressing the importance of clear and respectful communication in dealing with young people, participants learned to identify and apply techniques to improve the quality of their interactions.
  • Youth group facilitation techniques: The trainer provided practical tools and approaches to facilitate youth participation and engagement in group activities, encouraging collaboration and personal development.

These acquired skills and knowledge will serve as valuable resources for youth workers in their daily work, enabling them to provide more effective and personalised support to young people. By applying these concepts and techniques in the programmes and activities carried out in the Youth Centres in Chisinau, they will contribute to the promotion of a healthy and stimulating environment for the growth and development of young people.

In the meantime, we have managed to grow, with a desire to expand and provide all young people with opportunities! So today, we have 5 Municipal Youth Centres, one in each sector.
