Florin Bălănescu returns to Chisinau with the premiere of his new book

Pe 15 noiembrie, începând cu ora 15:00 la Biblioteca Onisifor Ghibu, sala Nuciferă pe str.Nicolae Iorga 21A va avea loc lansarea unei noi opere semnată exclusiv de jurnalistul român, Florin Bălănescu ,,Nume și renume”. Evenimentul va fi moderat de Vitalie Răileanu.

Noua carte a autorului cuprinde 56 de conversații, scrise în 2 capitole. Primul capitol conține 32 de întâlniri cu personalități notorii din domeniul cultural, științific, politic și sportiv. Totodată, primul capitol aduce în prim plan idea modelelor autentice, dar și importanța performanței.

Partea a doua a volumul include 24 de dialoguri cu personalități cu renume din domeniul muzicii ușoare, folk, rock și blues.

Seara promite a fi o atmosferă caldă și plăcută, unde cititorii, iubitorii de literatură și cultură, vor putea discuta cu autorul despre noua carte, dar și despre procesul de scriere a acesteia.

Dennis Deletant comes to Chisinau: meeting with readers and signing autographs

On Friday, November 14, at 18:00, history lovers are invited to a special meeting with Dennis Deletant, one of the most important British historians specializing in Romanian history. The event will take place at Cărturești Chișinău (121A, 31 August 1989 str., 121A) and will include an engaging discussion followed by a book signing session.

Virgil Pâslariuc, Igor Cașu and Iulian Fruntașu will take part in the dialog, which will deal with topics related to historical memory, totalitarian regimes and Romania’s geopolitical developments in the 20th century. The discussion will be held in Romanian.

About the author

Dennis Deletant was born in Norfolk, England, in 1946. He is Visiting Professor at the Ion Rațiu Chair of Romanian Studies at Georgetown University (Washington D.C.) and Professor Emeritus at University College London.

His first contact with Romania was in 1965, at the Sinaia Summer School, and in 1969 he returned with a British Council scholarship. In 1988, the Ceausescu regime declared him persona non grata, but in December 1989 he returned to Bucharest as a BBC consultant during the Romanian Revolution.
In 1990, he was invited to the advisory committee of the British Government’s Know-How Fund and was actively involved in projects dedicated to Romania. For his contributions he was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1995.

About the event

The meeting in Chisinau offers the public a rare opportunity to engage directly with a British historian who has devoted much of his work to Romania and Eastern Europe. Participants will be able to purchase the author’s books at the Humanitas stand and will have the opportunity to get autographs.

After a month full of encounters, reflections and discoveries, on November 16, 2025, in Chisinau, the CNV Moldova Caravan concludes its journey with a festive event dedicated to the community that has grown around empathy, listening and authentic connection.

The event, organized by CNV Moldova, marks the end of the edition of the CNV Caravan 2025 – an initiative aimed at promoting Nonviolent Communication and relationships based on mutual understanding and respect.

We meet again to celebrate what we have created together, to share what we have learned and to discover how we can take the culture of empathic communication forward.

DigiEduHack 2025 – 24 hours of innovation, creativity and collaboration in digital education

On November 8-9, 2025, DigiEduHack 2025 – a 24-hour hackathon dedicated to innovation, collaboration and creativity in digital education – will take place at the National Center for Digital Innovations in Education “Class of the Future”, in Block 1 of the State Pedagogical University “Ion Creanga”, Chisinau.

The event brings together young innovators from all over the country, passionate about technology and education, in a marathon of ideas aimed at transforming the educational process through artificial intelligence-based solutions. Attendance is free of charge, upon pre-registration.

About the event

DigiEduHack 2025 is a 24-hour challenge that encourages teamwork and critical thinking. Participants – educators, students and technology specialists – will collaborate to create innovative projects that can redefine the learning experience.

Over one day and one night, teams will develop concepts, prototypes and digital solutions that meet the real needs of modern education. The process will be supported by mentors, trainers and experts in the field of technology and education.

The theme of the 2025 edition, “Re-imagined Learning Experience – self-reflection and peer-to-peer development supported by artificial intelligence”, invites participants to rethink learning as a collaborative space based on reflection, empathy and mutual support.

About the theme

The aim of this edition is to explore how AI can contribute to a more personalized, inclusive and interactive education. Work directions include:

Astronomy lesson at TUM: “Our home – the Solar System”

On November 9, 2025, from 11:00 am, at the Technical University of Moldova (168 Stefan cel Mare Blvd., block 1, 2nd floor, room 205), there will be a public astronomy lecture on the theme “Our Home: Solar System“.

The event will be held by Serghei Luca, physicist and astronomer, who will explain to the participants the structure and composition of the Solar System – from the Sun to the outer planets. The lecture provides an opportunity to discover the cosmic phenomena that define our planet’s place in the universe and to better understand the connections between celestial bodies.

The organizers of the event, Astroclub Moldova and the Technical University of Moldova, aim to bring science closer to the public and inspire young people’s curiosity for astronomy.

First job without experience? Learn the winning strategy at the Job Accelerator 5.0 MeetUp

How to get a job without experience? This is the question that young people will get the answer to at the fourth MeetUp of the Job Accelerator 5.0 project, which will take place on November 18, 2025 at the Student Hub, ASEM, starting at 18:00.

The event, dedicated to young people aged between 16 and 35, is organized by MentorMe, with the support of the National Agency for Youth and the Ministry of Education and Research, and aims to prepare young people for first interviews, build a career strategy and make effective use of the LinkedIn platform.

The secret to early success

The special guest of the event is Vicky Ulinici, HR expert, career coach and content creator with over 12 years of experience in the HR field. As a mentor at HR Portal, Tekwill Academy and MentorMe, Vicky Ulinici has guided dozens of young people to successful careers.
